Host/Show Bio: Mekka Rose is a professional open format DJ and radio personality out of Miami specializing in House, RnB, hip-hop, Afrobeats, Azonto, Soca, Dancehall, just to name a few. She started her professional DJ career in 2012 and got her first start on radio in 2013. Mekka Rose went to a performance arts high school for musically inclined children. She plays the acoustic guitar at an intermediate level and plays the African drums professionally. Mekka Rose has always had a deep, passionate love for music which translates into her work as a DJ today. She travels nationwide and internationally as a DJ. So far, she has performed in Sierra Leone, London, New York, Boston, Texas, Atlanta, Jamaica, U.S. Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Bahamas as well as the many local events she DJs at in the city of Miami.
